Focusing Student Creativity

In his book The Element, Dr. Ken Robinson defines creativity as “the process of having original ideas that have value.” I believe that as educators we are tasked with the responsibility to foster creativity in our students, but how do we do this? How do we spark imagination to create with value?

In order to have value there needs to be an awareness and understanding of needs.  We must provide an opportunity for students to discover and understand these societal needs, both locally and globally.

Let’s commit to helping our students make the real life connections needed to understand the needs and develop the skills to make a difference in the world.

Wishing everyone a fabulous school year!
